Fill in the form below and attach your plans. The more you send, the tighter the estimate. We confirm what we've received the same working day and tell you straight away if anything's missing.

We Measure It And Price It

Our estimating team takes every quantity off your drawings, trade by trade, using NRM2, the industry-standard method of measurement, with waste allowances built in. Materials, labour and plant are priced at current UK national average rates.

Every line is referenced back to the drawing it came from. Where the plans don't show something, we list it as an assumption rather than guess.

A trade summary and a detailed bill of materials, in Excel and PDF. Materials and labour are shown separately on every line, so you can see exactly where the money goes.

The Excel is live: change a rate, adjust for your area, add your margin, and the totals follow.

Use it to quote your client, then bring the material schedule to any PGR branch and we'll turn it into a trade-priced order.

What We Need To Get Started

Your contact details we can use to liase with to receive your final estimate and follow up to buy your materials. A description of your project and where it is, this is very helpful in speeding up the process and getting your project start as fast as possible.

1. Construction Plans

Existing and proposed, with measurements and any notes marked on the drawings. PDF is best; photos of marked-up plans are fine. The more detail you send, the less we have to assume.

2. Structural Calculations

So we price the right steels, lintels and foundations rather than an allowance. If your engineer hasn't issued them yet, send the plans anyway. We'll mark the structural items as provisional and update them when the calcs arrive.

3. Specifications

Anything already chosen, like bricks, tiles, windows or the kitchen. Where nothing's specified, we'll use a sensible trade standard and mark it clearly, so you can swap it for something dearer or cheaper without redoing the estimate. Plus your contact details and the site address, so we can come back to you with any queries.

What's in it, and what isn't

Included: a full take-off from your drawings, priced for supply and fit trade by trade, from preliminaries and groundworks through masonry, steelwork, roof, windows and doors, plastering, plumbing, electrics, heating, joinery and decoration to external works. Materials include waste allowances. Labour and plant are priced separately on every line. You also get a trade summary and a clear list of everything we've assumed or excluded.

Not included: anything the drawings don't show, and items you'll choose later (kitchen units or floor finishes, for example). We list those as exclusions or provisional sums so you know exactly where the gaps are. VAT is shown separately.

Worth knowing: rates are UK national averages, and quantities come from your drawings. It's an estimate to quote from, not a contractor's fixed price. Check it against the site and your own rates.
