PGR Sponsors the 2025 Maldon Mud Race – And We Got Stuck In!

We’re proud to have sponsored one of the messiest and most iconic events in Essex this year, the Maldon Mud Race, which took place this past Sunday, 4th May 2025.

This year’s race saw hundreds of brave competitors charge across the thick, sticky mud of the River Blackwater in the name of fun and fundraising. It’s an incredible local tradition, and we were thrilled to be part of it, not just as sponsors, but as participants too. 

We didn’t just stand on the sidelines. Runners from both PGR and HSS Hire laced up their trainers and braved the mud to take on the course. Slipping, sliding, and absolutely covered by the finish line, they gave it their all and did us proud.

A huge thank you to our colleagues who took part. Your muddy efforts helped support fantastic local charities and made the day unforgettable.

With a PGR branch right here in Maldon, we love getting involved in events that bring the community together. The Mud Race is a brilliant example of local spirit and support, and we’re honoured to play our part in helping this tradition thrive.

Whether you raced, cheered, or just enjoyed the spectacle, thank you for being part of such a brilliant day. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again (and probably getting just as muddy) next year.
